In regard to the name, they can call it what they like as long as it is a B&M Hyper or one of those cool new mega-lite Intamin's or whatever.

But I think it's gonna be B&M.

They can call it Red Steel: The Ride, I'll hate the name but it will still be a great ride.

I'm not a NASCAR fan either, but you can't deny there are MILLIONS of people out there that love it and would probably go to Carowinds just to ride the only coaster themed to a driver.

Hey, I'm new here....I live in Jersey and never been to Carowinds. My home park is SFGadv...How lucky am I? I work there too. You guys are getting something BIG next year and I wanted to be a part of the speculation. So why did the name Intimidator come up?

Seriously though, I wonder how anything ever stays secret these days.

No one knows anything, or at least we don't know for sure. It's all speculation.

I hope we don't see a Nascar themed coaster either. I find it kinda boring, but if they themed it for a race gone bad with crashes and weird obstacles like ramps and loops then that would be awesome!

Wow, you ARE pretty lucky, I went to SFGAdv last year, and I wasn't the enthusiast I am now so I didn't even ride El Toro, Kingda Ka, or Nitro! I still regret it to this day... But anyways, what is your job there?...I'm surprised the spec/rumors have made it way up North...

WHAT IF THEY MADE A COASTER THAT WAS THEMED AS UM... A SUPER HERO LIKE (SPIDERMAN,X-MAN,ETC) AT CAROWINDS INSTEED OF NASCAR!

They are copyrighted characters and Six Flags is the only amusement park chain that owns the rights to them... ain't happenin'...

SO it WAS six flags over somewhere where I saw that awesome ride "Amazing Adventures of Spiderman" dark ride...I must be getting rusty because I could have sworn that was at some park in fla but what do I know...

Then I decided to walk down towards the 3rd Picnic Pavilion when I spotted this field of pink flowers

There was one that was a mere 1 foot from the path


Behind the Picnic Pavilion I found these guys




Next I decided to take a walk down the fence


This is the camera that "the man" watches the construction with


I saw this from the top of Afterburn


They have begun digging up the parking lot right at the South Gate


It looks to be 8ft wide x 2 ft deep x 60 yards


I do have to say, I really felt like an idiot that it took me a month to figure out why DIOV was written backwards on the hand stamps

Im gona be honest here....There is a future middle school right up the road from where I stay at and there construction on the leveling land is coming along faster then what carowinds! Not hating or anyhitng but everytime I look at where the log fume used to be it looks the same as it did a week ago!

Thanks Derick, I plan on staying a couple days in the Campground over the Fourth of July. So i wil make sure to take plenty of pics.
but Im allready makeing plans to spend many weekends this fall over there.When they should be going Vertical!!!!!
