But notice, it's not a 404 not found, it's a 500 internal server error

Most likely causes:
•The website is under maintenance.
•The website has a programming error.

i also tried http://whitelightning.carowinds.com/pub ... webcam.cfm (the same format for the webcam link for carolina cobra)
and http://whitelightning.carowinds.com/public
without any luck.
the webcam link give internal server error #500 instead of not found as a point of intrest. Also all the whitelightning.carowinds.com pages go to a server error instead of the standard "sorry we cannot find the page you requested carowinds themed page"
also on a random note of intrest http://carowinds.com/images/attractions/topgun_sm.jpg the names of the pictures on their site still use the old names :-) the small pictures is still labled top gun.

Also interesting: http://carowinds.com/attractions/detail.cfm?ai_id=99 the XLC at carowinds?

The orange cones were removed for Saturday parking, but this is where they usually are. So I goes no further.

I'm no trying to change the subject.....But everyone seems to be thinking carowinds is getting a racing theme coaster. Could this by a chance mean we may be getting something like Top Thrill Dragster? If that is the case, then that would be the tallest ride in the park. Would that be consider breaking history?

I also just realize something, Now I could be wrong but Carowinds hasn't gotten a "brand new" coaster. Carolina Corba, Night Hawk...has came from a different Paramounts Theme Park or now Cedar Fairs. The last brand new coaster we got was back in 2001 "Rugrats Runaway Reptar". So with that, Carowinds getting a brand new coaster could that also be consider breaking history?

I dont think we will get anything like Top Thrill Dragster. For reasons stated before in this topic. Airport Proxmity, and the fact that they have said it was one of the worst decisions they have ever made...

Wormy, good photo update!

I just want to clarify that i don't doubt that it is a B&M Hyper. I just thought I ask if anyone thought that could it be a launch coaster with dragster trains to fit a racing theme and with all the signs saying "breaking history" that it could ment that it could be the tallest ride in the park.

I think you maybe right in that regard. Sincer the ride is probably racing themed I can seeing doing decorated trains and suck. I still dont know about the Record breaking, history making thing.

Because the tallest ride there is the Carolina Skytower (320ft) which has been there since Carowinds first open. And I think that if this roller coaster is going to break history then it should be taller then the Skytower beause thats been the landmark (height wise).

I think it will not have to go taller than the skytower to be history making. It will either be the tallest coaster in the park record or another one.

^ Sorry to be the negative Nancy here but from the looks of the footer layout this ride could not be anywhere near 320 feet. The amount of track / space required to run off 320 feet of speed just doesn't seem to fit in our construction site unless the train was to hit the brakes going 60, which isn't something B&M likes to do. From the looks of our footers so far, this will most likely be just over 200' like other hypers from B&M.

Remember, don't take the "record breaking history making" statement too literally guys. This IS the park that claimed 8 inversions on Borg and talks up a boomerang like it's the greatest invention since sliced bread. We should all be happy we're even getting a hyper.
