It has been a while since the last update, and over the holiday I was able to stop by myself for the first time since the announcement in August. All of my photos can be found HERE.
Pictures don't really do justice to how impressive Intimidator looks in person. It truly looms over everything else in the area, and can be seen from miles away coming toward the park on I-77.
It shouldn't be too long before the track is complete. Supports are up for the mid-course brake run, and all that remains to be erected is that plus the helix and final hill at the end of the ride. In just under four months Intimidator will be taking riders, and that wait doesn't seem so bad considering how long it has been since a ride of this magnitude came to Carowinds.
