They made us look pretty good, I'll have to admit. Some pics from the Intimidator shoot.

Starting at 7AM, and after signing our lives away, we were escorted from the employee entrance straight to Intimidator, where we waited for the film crew to mount the reverse POV camera. After strapping it down with every bungee cord, strap, rope and piece of yarn they could find, they sent it out on an empty train for a test run. When the train made it back, there must have been some technical difficulty, to which Bert announced, "You know your ride's good when it breaks the camera."

Gotta get-get boom boom boom..

We completed five laps to get the onride footage they needed; a few rides in the same seats for continuity, and then we switched seats for the remainder. If you're wondering by the footage why no one had their hands up, well, we were obedient. And I will mention, reluctantly, that Bert noticed the return trim. He asked "Was that, was that a brake ... on that hill coming back? Can we turn it off?"

Obviously that didn't air.

About this time, the park opened to the public, and although you can't tell in the picture, half of these clowns were running to get in line.

We then gathered in Weiners Circle for post-ride interviews. This looked great on TV, but I have to mention it was hot. Very hot. 95 degrees hot. Directly under the sun for an hour hot. This is where I developed one hell of a nasty heat rash (more on that later). Now, I assume that if you're willing to be seen on national tv, you won't mind being shown here:

Did I mention it was hot? This became an all too familiar sight throughout the morning - he had to constantly wipe off the sweat between takes:

Finally we were escorted back out of the park to remove our cars from the employee parking lot. After leaving for a while, and after paying respects to Dave Thomas, we returned to find the crew back for some more footage. We sat here for a while waiting for them to get more reaction shots inside the station:

I don't know how long the crew stuck around, but he just kept on riding..

Bert Kreischer is a natural at this. He's just as funny and affable in person as he seems on the tube. I've thoroughly enjoyed each of these episodes and look forward to the second season, there better be one! As for the rest of the day, Mountain and I had fun letting his young'un lead us around, which included the water park. That's when I noticed my heat rash. As soon as I got home, my wife made me soak in a baking soda bath, and then I smothered myself in cornstarch. I felt like a recipe. Worth it though!

Ha! I remember that. I was FL.

The trim comment was hilarious too.

Glad the thumb had great posture on TV.

And why not change things up a little, instead of the usual gentlemen recording?

I just remembered and am a little disappointed that the whole handshake thing Bert had going on with the young boy didn't make the show either. That was the funniest part in my opinion.

Our new flat ride should be the South Carolina tradition that was on the show; Redneck water skiing. I say make a giant mud puddle in front of intimdiator's field put a bulldozer in the middle of it, and tie a rope and skis to it. Let it spin round and round.

Anyone else notice him saying there were 23 inversions in the park? Carowinds is still pushing that Nighthawk has 8 instead of 5 huh? LOL Other than that the park looked great, especially the parking lot. I hope I can make it there next season,
