I admit, fair photos are much prettier during actual operation, but I didn't want anyone freaking out over a drone flying around. So, I drove out there around 8:30am this morning (May 28), way before things got cranked up. This is a pretty decent fair, complete with a Crazy Mouse, a Drop Tower, Orbiter, Tilt-A-Whirl and other notables. Not pictured in these photos was the fairly decent Kiddie Land set up across the street. They also have a Seal Show and Tiger Show. Official website: https://www.carolinafair.org/

Burned an enjoyable couple of hours here yesterday. Standard fare, but a good reminder of the powerful whips these smaller carny rides have (their “Scrambler” and Orbiter, wow). Don’t miss the Tomb of Doom, 35 years in operation and freshly hand painted.

I wish Greensboro would get more pop-up fairs. The Central Carolina and Dixie Classic Fair aren't too bad, but it gets repetitive quickly.
