Cool New Site, Love it! These track parts looks like station parts or possible break run area. I am really excited now! Bring on more Flat Bed trucks.

Unless they deliver more track today, there really isn't a need to try and take more pics anyway.

Soon it will be like Cobra, and you'll be able to take all the pics you want from Thunder Road's ramp to blue side.

What about the log flume site? We could use some new pics of that.

I'm not sure how they got such close up pics earlier today, but I was out there earlier and security is back there now in that area.

I don't want to see anybody get themselves banned from the park, the coaster, etc.

Not much to add, but Carowinds Connection does not condone breaking ANY park rules or trespassing in any areas marked off.

I will start off my post by saying that I did ask permission, inside the park, to take these pictures before I started.
I decided to go down to the park today to see what I could see.






They have dug a trench down the center of the pivot point



I took this one from the top of pipeline peak


Now onto the money shots. As I said I did ask permission. There were 5 track pieces there when I walked up.






Then the 2 maintenance guys that were looking over the track asked me if I wanted to have my picture taken with the track.


As I was about to leave 2 more trucks with 3 pieces pulled in:

Wow, your the first Coaster Geek to "touch" the new track. I hope you caressed it and told it how much you loved it, and couldn't wait to ride it!
Nice pics dude. The old flume area looks like it received a good amount of rain last night! But still, the concrete trucks say "Ride On!!"

awesome that they let you go up to the track and even get your pic with it. very cool of the park to let that happen.

Let’s be grateful that Cedar Fair has placed our long neglected park at the same level of importance as King Dominion and Kings Island. It has been decades since we have been treated equal to our siblings.

You know what...its comments like this that make me have little to no respect for some coaster nerds. You say the park has been long neglected...what I call a neglected park seems to be totally different from what you call a neglected park. I call a park that gets a custom stand up coaster and a custom inverted coaster a park that is doing good. I call a park that has a pretty good water park a park that is doing good. I call a park with rides like the flyer and drop tower a park that is doing pretty good. I understand you wanna kiss butt and rave how cedar fair has been the super hero of carowinds and saved it from destitute and dispare and the verge of dying but you dont have to do it at the expense of the prior owners, whether it be paramount, taft, kings enterainment, or pat e hall in the beginning. I hope you are understanding what I am saying and realize if it wasnt for the prev owners the park could have taken a entire different turn. It wasnt like the park was on the chopping block and bankrupted and closed and sat dormant then cedar fair came in and save the park from a bulldozer.

I appreciate cedar fair for taking the parks and continuing to upgrade and add stuff to it but im not gonna make it seem like the previous owners did nothing at all to better the parks and just sat on their thumbs waiting for the next season to collect money...

Anyway im glad to see the track progressing to the park at a good rate. Im hoping the dug up line in the pavement is the start of digging up the concrete!
